LEST WE FORGET!

Here is my entry for the Tim Holtz Compendium of Curiousities Challenges #10 - The Assemblage Clock! The sponsor for this challenge is The Funkie Junkie! To learn more about the Challenge and how to join visit Linda Ledbetter's site....there are still tons to come!

As you can see by the pictures down below that I decided to do a "memorial" to give to my husband on Remembrance Day (November 11) and I saw the assemblage clock as the perfect opportunity to create something special for my GUY....

The assemblage clock was easy to work with, took paint well, abrasions, rub ons and embellishments. Lot's of things to do and see! If you notice I installed 3 LED's in the top (behind) the metal tape to light up the pictures and details.

I used 22 cal. long bullets as my 'loose' stuff to lend symbolism of war being 'REAL' and, that even a small bullet, can kill. The picture on the lower right shows how I mounted the large picture frame using black cardstock so that I could get a 'tilt' in the picture. The middle picture shows the 'bells' that I covered with 'impressed' metal tape to give it an industrial edge. I had planned to put poppies on the top but went with silver ribbon and badges instead. I used Tim Holtz rub ons to put the #23 on the glass and the year on the side with regiment number. More Below....
